The 2014 Gangnam Style so far....mark my words!!

Después de 4 años, y tras el mas que correcto "Aprhodite" (oda a Get outta my way que fue un hit en España!) llega lo nuevo de Kylie Minogue ( aunque en estos 4 años ha seguido en activo, véanse "Higher" con Taio Cruz, la colaboración con Laura Pausini o Coldplay y el genial "Timebomb")
Pues bien, pese a que en ventas no esté yendo genial, y que el vídeo sea una auténtica patata! la canción a mi me parece de lo mejor que he escuchado en estos meses "Into the blue" es un tema que aúna la moda de las canciones mid-tempo con la esencia propia de Kylie, que hay que decirlo todo, a veces de lo gay que resultan sus canciones y vídeos llega a echar para atrás a nosotros, los propios gays xDD. Pero en esta ocasión ha sido mas comedida. Deseo con todas mis ganas que el álbum sea un éxito a todos los niveles...y espero verla en directo en su próximo tour :P. Larga vida a Kylie!

It´s been 4 years waiting for the new material by the australian singer...and the first single of her upcoming album was launched last week, the song is called "Into the blue" and despite of not doing so great in charts or the really bad videoclip, the song itself is great and catchy (at least for me :P).

Most of you will agree if I say that Kylie is maybe the most "gay-est" artist nowadays (sorry Cher :P), and even for me (yes I´m gay) it could be so much sometimes .....hehehe

But I hope that this new album could do well on charts, critics and obviously, like every fan of this great artist, Kylie Minogue

Icona Pop...and my love for Swedish music

Ok I´ve been out for a while...in fact I´m thinking of doing a video-blog instead of writing here, and to be honest the idea it´s gettin´ bigger these weeks.
In terms of music I fall in love with the new single of the swedish duo Icona Pop.
I´m a huge fan of everything related to Sweden hehehe , and right now these girls are the greater in swedish music without forgetting Avicii.
They´re trying to show people they´re not a "one hit wonder group". Everyone in the world listened "I love it" and despite of not impacting in the charts I´m in love with this single



"All night"

He estado ciertamente desparecido estas semanas, y se debe a que me estoy replanteando hacer un videoblog! y dejar de lado el escribir juju!
Estaréis informados de si acabo lanzándome a hacerlo.
Pero hablando de lo que realmente importa, la música, llevo unos días enamorado de "All night" de las suecas Icona Pop. Es cierto que soy poco objetivo, me gusta todo lo relacionado con Suecia, hasta las dificultades de IKEA para montar sus muebles me resultan adorables xD.
Están intentando salir de ese fantasma llamado "one hit wonder" vamos la lista de artista y grupos que tienen un sólo exito y no vuelven a tener un hit en su vida....de momento la sombra de "I love it" es grande.....Animo chicas!!!!

Shakira+Rihanna = Bachata + Ska??? WTF!

And the 13th of January finally came....and also the official release of "Can´t remember to forget you", the collaboration between Shakira and Rihanna.
So the question is easy. ¿What´s the opinion about the track after listening several time? I really expected more. However the song is quickly raising on itunes and taking the 1st position almost everywhere.

But I really don´t think that the song, wich is quite good, a mix of latin-pop-rock (Shakira´s trademark during her first years) also a bit of reggae and ska ( ¿Did someone say Bruno Mars and "Locked out of heaven"?) plus loooooooooots of screams and moans (the other trademark for Shakira and Rihanna)

Pues sí, ha llegado el día 13 de Enero, y con el, el lanzamiento de la esperada colaboración entre CansinaRihanna y Shakira, conocida en el mundo latino como Chakira, que no es lo mismo...
El caso, que aunque "Can´t remember to forget you" no suena nada mal, no es una revolución para nada, de hecho es una mezcla estudiadisima de los primeros trabajos mainstream de Shakira, su conocidisimo pop-rock latino (marca de la casa), un poco de ska y reggae (Bruno Mars ya lo hizo hace dos años con "Locked out of Heaven" y le salió de puta madre) y eso sí, la otra gran marca de la casa de Riri y Chaki, los gritos, gemidos y demás sonidos guturales.
El resultado...el tema está arrasando en itunes (efecto fan de momento) y está gustando por lo general. A mí sin apasionarme, no me disgusta para nada, me da que con las escuchas me iré enamorando. Veremos...

Invictus...by Paco West :P

Vaaaale! Todos hemos estado hablando estas Navidades de lo mismo "¿Has visto al chulo de la colonia?".
Y....¿quién era ese chulo? Pues aunque a mi no me parece la gran cosa, Nick Youngquest(me encanta su apellido eso si XD) ha sido uno de los protagonistas de las Navidades.
Pero fijo que hay algo en el anuncio que también te ha llamado la atención, no digas que no...La canción "Power" de Kanye West.
Es cierto que es el tío mas petulante y estúpido que te puedas echar a la cara (no está entre los artistas con mejor prensa desde luego...) aunque por lo menos no es el típico rapero violento (saludos Chris Brown ^^).
Pues bien, dejando de lado su actitud, Kanye hace discos redondos como rosquillas, y aunque España no es un país muy de rap negro, es un buen revulsivo para que conozcamos a West (recomiendo escuchar canciones como "Stronger" "All of the lights" "Love Lockdown" o "Heartless").

Every single person has seen the spot of the perfume "Invictus" and the 105% of us obviously saw the "poser" guy called Nick Youngquest ( I have to admit that I love more the surname than the guy properly, it´s not my type I´m sorry hehe). At least in Spain and France the advert and the model was in the top 10 things for this Xmas.
But you have to admit that there was something else in the spot....the music??Yeaaah. The song that is featured is "Power" by the egomaniac of the egomaniacs! Mr Kanye West (aka boyfriend of BoobsKim Kardashian and stalker of PlainTaylorSwift). Disregard of his personality, his a f**king genious in terms of creating music ( a couple of examples are "Love Lockdown" "Stronger" or "All of the lights") and "Power", the song of the spot, is a good example.

Hoy me ha dado por escuchar una de esas canciones que poco a poco han ido creciendo y creciendo hasta convertirse en un pequeño clásico (bueno para mí y para el público estadounidense :S)
Todos recordamos a Sara Bareilles por su "Love Song", si el vídeo ese en el que salía una chica no demasiado agraciada tocando el piano y cantando cada vez que alguien insertaba una moneda en una ¿máquina del amor?. Para mí una de las mejores canciones de amor de la década pasada.

Long time ago I fall in love with a song called "Love Song", performed by a singer who I´ve never heard about her, Sara Bareilles.
Everyone will recognize her and this fantastic song (for me it´s one of the best pop-ballads ever)...

Pues bien, a día de hoy y tras lo bien que le vino (hay que ser sinceros) la polémica "Roar-Brave" debido al parecido entre el mega hit de Katy Perry y la canción de Bareilles, acaba de salir de la lista de one hit wonders! esa odiosa lista en la que se cuentan por cientos los artistas que están dentro.
Brave es un temazo, todo un "grower" con una composición perfecta y para mí, uno de los mejores temas del pasado 2013.

Since that song, she released a couple of albums and more singles, but any of them reached the success of the famous "Love Song".So she was inside of that list that every artist try to avoid to enter....the one hit wonder list!
But that was then, and now she is achieving a growing hit in her own country, wich could be her signature song in a near future, "Brave", an empowering song, catchy and with a nice message.
To be honest I first heard the song due to the controversy with "Roar" by Katy Perry when this song was released, and it´s fun because right now I listen "Brave" insted "Roar".

Feliz 2014!!!!!

Sólo desearos un feliz 2014, en todos los ámbitos, y cómo no! musicalmente hablando también.
Este año empieza fuerte, se acaba de lanzar el remix de "Do What U Want" de Gaga ft Aguilera, o el recién estrenado videoclip de un nuevo single de KeSha, sin olvidar las confirmaciones de álbum de Kylie Minogue, Rihanna o Madonna para este 2014.
Empezamos fuerte!!

This 2014 started in a very good way, with the official release of the remix of "Do what u want" by Lady Gaga featuring Christina Aguilera, or the cool videoclip of a new single by Ke$ha.
You also have to know that Madonna, Kylie or Rihanna have officially announced that they´re working on their new albums!!
As I said, it´s a good start.
